Repexel - User Guide


Repexel is an addin for Excel, providing multi-user data reporting functionaly extension to it.
It utilises Excel calculation features in full and adds multi-user data management to it.

Repexel requires the latest official version of Excel in order work.

Single sign on

Repexel uses Microsoft identification to identify user, so you have to be logged in to Excel in order to able to use Repexel. At the first time you will be requested a consent to Repexel your email adderess and Microsoft identification number. But thereafter you won't need to login separately to Repexel.

Repexel Licenses

There are Free and User Subscription Licenses of Repexel for users. In addition there is a Repexel Database license, that you need to make your Repexel solution to a multi-user solution and to utlize Repexel database in Microsoft Azure cloud. By using Repexel addin you agree to follow the Repexel End User License Agreement.

Free license

You can use the free license version of Repexel to develop and plan Repexel solutions. You will be able to use and test the solutions by yourself, but you cannot share your solutions.

User Subscriptionlicense

With a User license you are able to share your Repexel solutions to other users who also have User license. You can also connect it to Repexel database in ordeer to generate a multi-user solution.

Multi-user Repexel database

You can expand your Repexel solutution to a multi-user solution by attaching a Repexel database to it. All the users have to have a User Subscription License. In the multi-user environment you will manage the user access right in your Microsoft Entra in Azure. Repexel will be one app in your Entra license management environment.

Instances

On top of the Repexel taskpanes is the Instance selection dropdown menu. Ever user has the defaul Local Instance. In Local Instance all the data in located in the same Excel file that is used to build up the solution. If you have access to multi-user database solutions, they will be listed and selectable in the Instance drop-down menu.

Using Repexel

When Repexel is loaded from Microsoft AppSource it will appear in your Excel main menu "Ribbon Menu".

Forms and Reports

When Repexel addin is installed to you Excel environment, the Repexel menu will be available in the Excel menu selection on the top.
By clicking the Reporting icon, the Reporting taskpane will be opened showing all the reporting forms and tables that are available to you.
By clicking the Report icon, the Report taskpane will be opened showing the reports that you can run.

Data Actions

Save and Delete buttons are by default disabled. When any changes are made to the existing data-entries or new data-entries are generated the Save icon will be enabled. by clicking the save button changes made and/or new entries on the active spreadsheet will be saved to the database. Delete button will be activated when existing entry or dimension is loaded to the spreadsheet.

Manage

You can create and manage your own Tabels/Forms and Dimensions by clicking menu button. Respective taskpane will be opened.
