Entry Form
Add Entry
When you click the Add Entry button a new sheet is opened that contains the selected Form. The Form will be empty, but some Fields may have default values or formulas.
Modify Entry
When you click an Entry in the downloaded Entry Table, the Entry Form will appear with the selected Entry. You can modify the Entry and and when you save the Entry on the Form it will eplace the existing Entry in the database.
Form and Fields
In the form worksheet will be protected and you will be able to modify only the marked Fields. The Fields are rounded by borders and are build up from one or multiple worksheet cells. A Field accept only valid input and will generate immediately error message if the validation fails. Some of the fields have dropdown list of valid values you choose from.
Formulas in Fields
You can insert a formula to any of the Fields except those with dropdown list. You can refer to other Fields in the Form by their name.
Default and Calculated values
Some Fields may have formula that generates the default value. But if the Field has grey background, it will show a calculated value that you cannot modify.
Saving the Entry
When aby modification is made to the Form Fields, the Save - button in the Repexel Menu will be activated. Clicking the Save button will upload the Entry to the Database.
If there is an Entry in the Database with the same identification Field(s) value(s), the new Entry will replace the existing one. Otherwise, a new Entry will be uploaded into the Database.
Deleting the Entry
When you are modifying an existing Entry, then the Delete button will be activated in in the Repexel menu. Clicking the Delete button will open a confirmation window where you have to confirm the deletion. Deleting an Entry in a database cannot be undone.
