When data validation is selected a validation criteria field will be opened with selection of criteria applicable for Excel-field data validation. Excel data validation will then be used for the field in Reporting tables and -forms.

Date-fieldtypes have in addition a checkbox (Default Date Field) to idebtify whether it is the default date/time field form the table to be used in filtering entries in Reports and Reporting. If table/form has date fields, then one hast to be selected as Default Date Field. Date fields also have a "Period lenght" -setting, that identifies the length of one reporting period: Year, Month, Day or Hour.

In Serial-fieldtypes serial number will be automatically generated. In settings you can define a prefix for the serial number (e.g if "TOS" is set as the prefix, the serial number for the first entry would be "TOS001"). With Seria-type fields a "Editing is allowed" -checkbox asking will appear. If selected, then users are allowed to modify the serial number in the field.

SubTable Design

The type of a Field can also be a SubTable. A SubTable is presented in a Forms as a table, that contains multiple datarows. In a Manage Entries table view the Subtable datarows will be concatenated to the main entry. There will be a separate entry for each sub entry that shares the field values of the main entry. Each field in the SubTable has its own setting as the fields of the parent Table.
